  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh ginger(grated)
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh lemongrass(white part only) minced
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 oz
    rice white vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot sauce(such as tabasco)
  • 2 oz
    lime juice(unsweetened)
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 oz
    canola oil
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 4
    boness chicken breasts

How to Make Grilled Chicken with Ginger Lemongrass Marinade


  1. Mix ginger, lemongrass, garlic, vinegar, brown sugar, and hot sauce in a saucepan and bring to a boil to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Remove form heat and cool over an ice bath.
  3. Add lime juice, cilantro, oil, slat, and pepper to mixture and whisk.
  4. Place chicken in the marinade for 1 hr.
  5. Remove breasts from the marinade. Grill or broil until cooked through.
