Ingredients

  • 16 slice
    deli roast beef, medium thickness, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 8 oz
    chive and onion cream cheese spread at room temperature
  • 2/3 c
    horseradish
  • 16
    pretzel rods
  • 16 slice
    cooked bacon, cut in half
  • 8
    dill pickles, quartered
  • 3/4 c
    whole grain mustard

How to Make German Beef Roll-Ups

Step-by-Step

  1. Lightly sprinkle the beef slices sprinkle with salt. Spread each slice with a generous teaspoon of cream cheese; then spread 1 teaspoon of horseradish on top. Break pretzel rods in half; lay one in the center of each slice of beef. Lay a piece of bacon on one side of the pretzel and a pickle on the other.
  2. Roll the beef around the filling. Serve the beef roll-ups with mustard for dipping.
