Ingredients For early california spread

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • few drops tabasco sauce, or to taste
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can kidney beans, undrained, 8 oz
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup stuffed green olives, chopped

How To Make early california spread

  • 1
    Brown beef and 1/4 cup onion in skillet. Stir in catsup, Tabasco, chili powder and salt. Add beans with liquid and mash to mix thoroughly with other ingredients.

    Heat and garnish with shredded cheese, 1/2 cup onion and olives. Serve with corn chips. makes 3 cups. Jackie’s Family Food Favorites
