These are wonderful as a main dish or can be used as appetizers. My family and I are avid deer hunters and are fortunate enough to have these often for dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 - deer tenderloin
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, low-fat
  • 4 tablespoons cajun seasoning
  • 1 package bacon, uncooked

How To Make deer pinwheels

  • Step 1
    slice tenderloin 4 inch long and 1 inch wide strips (to make a pinwheel).
  • Step 2
    Spread cream cheese on strips and roll in to pinwheels.
  • Step 3
    Wrap each pinwheel in 1 strip of bacon, tightly.
  • Step 4
    Roll wrapped pinwheels in cajun seasoning.
  • Step 5
    Place on a cookie sheet in preheated oven for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Step 6
    After baking, drain off oil and broil pinwheels on low, browning bacon on both sides.
