I usually double this recipe and sometimes have it as the main dish paired with a salad.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 cup swiss cheese (shredded)
  • 3/4 cup cooked ham (diced)
  • 1/4 cup chives (minced)
  • 18 slices french bread (cut 1/2 in. thick)

How To Make cordon bleu appetizer

  • Step 1
    In small bowl, beat cream cheese and mustard until smooth. Stir in swiss cheese, ham, and chives.
  • Step 2
    Spread 1 tablespoon of mixture over each bread slice. Place slices on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned and bread is crusty.
