Last Christmas at a friend's house, she served these salty, sweet, savory dogs. I was amazed how simple this receipe was and made it for the office party. I made 350 of them....there were 5 left. Amazing!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 packages smoked sausage cocktail links
  • 1 package bacon, uncooked
  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • to taste dash garlic powder
  • 1/2-2/3 cup water, cold
  • 1 box toothpicks

How To Make cindy's sweet & smokey cocktail dogs

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 425. Cut bacon in SMALL pieces. Wrap each smokey link in a small piece of bacon, securing with a toothpick. Place in a large baking pan (I use a turkey roasting oval). Sprinkle with garlic to taste. Dump brown sugar over the links. Add water to bottom of pan. Bake 1 hour @ 425. Serve.
