- 12 slices (12oz) applewood-smoked bacon
- 1/2 cup packet light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
How To Make caramelized bacon

Step 1Preheat oven to 375. Line 15"x10" jelly roll pan with heavy-duty foil. Spray wire rack with non-stick spray;place in prepared pan.

Step 2Cut bacon in half crosswise;arrange in single layer on a prepared wire rack. Combine sugar,water,and red pepper in a small bowl;mix well. Brush generously over surface of bacon.

Step 3Bake 20-25 minutes or until bacon is dark brown. Immediately transfer to serving platter;cool completely.
