Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/3 cup finely chopped sweet onion
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup canned milk
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
How To Make bonnie's simple old-fashioned meatballs
-
Step 1Don't overmix the meatballs or they will be tough. Mix the meat with the onions,
-
Step 2beaten egg,
-
Step 3canned milk,
-
Step 4breadcrumbs, and then add the Worcestershire and seasonings.
-
Step 5Form the balls. I use a small scoop. Don't pack the meat in the scoop. Keep the meat loose as you form the ball. This makes tender balls when they cook.
-
Step 6Cook the balls on a greased sheet pan lined with foil. Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Don't over cook or over brown the meatballs.
