This Recipe is from Little Grandma. Times were lean, ingredients were few, flavor was simple, but there was love in every bite. Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped sweet onion
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup canned milk
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

How To Make bonnie's simple old-fashioned meatballs

  • Step 1
Don't overmix the meatballs or they will be tough. Mix the meat with the onions,
  • Step 2
    beaten egg,
  • Step 3
    canned milk,
  • Step 4
breadcrumbs, and then add the Worcestershire and seasonings.
  • Step 5
Form the balls. I use a small scoop. Don't pack the meat in the scoop. Keep the meat loose as you form the ball. This makes tender balls when they cook.
  • Meatballs!
    Step 6
Cook the balls on a greased sheet pan lined with foil. Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Don't over cook or over brown the meatballs.
