My brother Mark sent me this recipe along time ago from Montana. It takes awhile but it turned out pretty good.

Ingredients

  • 5 lb
    hamburger or any ground meeat you choose
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    coarse ground pepper
  • 5 tsp
    quick cure salt
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3 tsp
    hickory smoked salt

How to Make BEEF STICK

Step-by-Step

  1. mix all ingredients and add to hamburger
  2. place in a covered dish in the refrigerator for 4 days. remix on the 2nd and 3rd day. 4th day form into 5 1pound loaves.
  3. place on a cookie sheet and cover with foil.
  4. bake at 200 degrees for 8 hours. turning every 2 hours
