soy sauce

chopped green onions and tops
2 Tbsp

vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp
corn starch
1 clove
garlic, , pressed
1 tsp
grated ginger root
2 1/2 lb
boneless beef sirloin steak

How to Make Beef Kushisashi


  • 1Blend soy sauce, green onions, sugar, oil, cornstarch, garlic and ginger in small saucepan. Simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 1 minute; cool. Cover and set aside.
  • 2Slice beef into 1/8 inch - thick strips about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. Thread onto bamboo or metal skewers keeping meat as flat as possible; brush both sides of beef with sauce. Place skewers on rack of broiler pan; broil to desired degree of doneness.
