Makes 10 - 12 appetizer servings
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions and tops
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons corn starch
- 1 clove garlic, , pressed
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger root
- 2 1/2 pounds boneless beef sirloin steak
How To Make beef kushisashi

Step 1Blend soy sauce, green onions, sugar, oil, cornstarch, garlic and ginger in small saucepan. Simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 1 minute; cool. Cover and set aside.

Step 2Slice beef into 1/8 inch - thick strips about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. Thread onto bamboo or metal skewers keeping meat as flat as possible; brush both sides of beef with sauce. Place skewers on rack of broiler pan; broil to desired degree of doneness.
