I love this recipe. Give me some Chinese hot mustard and sesame seeds and I can eat this whole thing all by myself. lol. It's just like BBQ pork from your local restaurant, but moister. I also like it because it freezes well so I can have some in the freezer for company if I feel like sharing. From Chinese Cooking Class cookbook.

Ingredients

  • 2 - whole pork tenderloins
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons red food coloring, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 - green onion, halved
  • - green onion curls, garnish

How To Make barbecued pork

  • Step 1
    Remove and discard fat from meat.
  • Step 2
    Combine soy sauce, wine, sugar, honey, food coloring, cinnamon, garlic and onion in large bowl. Add pork, turning tenderloins to coat completely. Cover and let stand at room temperature 1 hour or refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
  • Step 3
    Drain pork, reserving marinade. Place pork on wire rack over a baking pan.
  • Step 4
    Bake in preheated 350ºF oven until done, about 45 minutes. Turn and baste frequently during baking.
  • Step 5
    Remove pork from oven. Cool. Cut into diagonal slices.
  • Step 6
    Garnish with Green Onion Curls.
