Barbecue Nachos are always present at the Beach Parties that we have. And they are frequent. We love to have the kids birthday parties at the beach!
My homemade barbecue sauce also sits next to the ketchup bottle on the table.

How to Make BARBECUE NACHOS W/MY HOMEMADE BBQ SAUCE

Step-by-Step

  1. BARBECUE SAUCE:
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  3. Lower the heat to a simmer, stirring frequently to avoid it burning on the bottom of the saucepan.
  4. Simmer for an hour and a half. Stirring every 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  6. For easy application, use a ketchup bottle and label it.
  7. PORK BUTT:
  8. Salt and pepper a 2 lb. pork butt. Use a large stock pot to boil the pork in. Be sure that the water covers the pork.
  9. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a medium boil for 3 to 4 hours or until the pork is fork tender.
  10. Remove from heat. Let the pork cool enough so that it can be handled without you getting burned.
  11. Shred the pork, removing the fat. Place in a container and cover it.
  12. When you are ready to serve the barbecue nachos, use a large foil roasting pan and pour in the tortilla chips.
  13. Spread the shredded pork over the chips, add your condiments and squirt the barbecue sauce over everything.
  14. You could even, put everything out in separate bowls and have everyone make their own plate of barbecue nachos.
