A lady at church gave me this recipe years ago. It has always been a hit every time I've taken it to parties as an appetizer. Never met anyone who did not like it. There is never any left and I always make a double batch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cans whole water chestnuts
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 pounds bacon

How To Make bacon wraps

  • Step 1
    Wrap each water chestnut with one half strip of bacon.
  • Step 2
    Place seam side down on cookie sheet.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 400degrees for 40 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Drain baked bacon wrapped water chestnuts on paper towels.
  • Step 5
    Discard bacon grease.
  • Step 6
    Make sauce with remaining ingredients.
  • Step 7
    Transfer bacon wrapped water chestnuts to a dish with sauce.
  • Step 8
    Bake 20 minutes at 300 degrees.

    Enjoy!!
