Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts
Be prepared to marinate the chestnuts overnight.
How to Make Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts
- Drain water chestnuts and place in plastic storage container. Add soy sauce, replace the lid and shake to coat. Allow to marinate overnight, shaking the container periodically.
- The following day, preheat oven to 425°. Cut bacon strips into thirds or in half and wrap each chestnut in bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
- Place chestnuts on baking sheet lined with foil. Sprinkle with brown sugar and bake for 25-35 minutes, or until bacon is cooked through and golden brown.
