Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Jessica Silva

Slightly sweet, slightly salty, slightly crunchy. These soy sauce marinated water chestnuts are wrapped in bacon, sprinkled with brown sugar and baked to perfection!

Be prepared to marinate the chestnuts overnight.

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

  1. Drain water chestnuts and place in plastic storage container. Add soy sauce, replace the lid and shake to coat. Allow to marinate overnight, shaking the container periodically.
  2. The following day, preheat oven to 425°. Cut bacon strips into thirds or in half and wrap each chestnut in bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
  3. Place chestnuts on baking sheet lined with foil. Sprinkle with brown sugar and bake for 25-35 minutes, or until bacon is cooked through and golden brown.
