Ingredients

1 lb
bacon, cut into thirds
1 lb
little smokies
1 stick
butter
2 c
brown sugar (reserve 1 cup for top)

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 375F. Cut the bacon into thirds and wrap each smokie.
  • 2Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • 3Melt butter and add 1 cup of the brown sugar (reserve the other cup for later) and stir until mixed well. Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture on the smokies and bacon.
  • 4Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of brown sugar evenly over the top of the smokies.
  • 5Bake for 20 minutes then turn the heat up to 400F for about 15-20 minutes or until the bacon becomes crispy. (I like mine really crispy and cook longer)
