Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package meat loaf seasoning (set 2 tablespoons aside in a small bowl
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can tomato paste ( 1 tablespoon set aside)
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - 8 slices of uncooked bacon, cut in half. smaller meat balls bacon can be cut to fit
  • - tooth picks if desire
  • DIPPING SAUCE
  • 8 oz - sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons meat loaf seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make bacon wrapped meat loaf balls with dipping sauce

  • Step 1
    Preheat ove to 400. Place beef in a medium bowl.
  • Step 2
    Add the meat loaf seasoning,bread crumbs, onion, and green peppper. Mix together with hands.
  • Step 3
    Add the tomato paste, salt and pepper, and combine with hands.
  • Step 4
    Roll meat mixture into 16 balls for a meal, smaller balls for a party.
  • Step 5
    Wrap bacon around meal loaf balls and place on a cookie sheet folded side down.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 35 minutes or until meat loaf balls are no longer pink and bacon is crispy.
  • Step 7
    For dipping sauce: In a small bowl combine the sour cream,2 tablespoons meat loaf seasoning mix and the 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, and the salt and pepper to taste. Chill until read to serve.
