  • 6 slice
    cuban bread, diagonally cut, (1-inch thick)
  • 1
    garlic clove, halved
  • 2 tsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 18 slice
    plum tomato, (1/8-inch thick)
  • 1/4 c
    parmesan cheese, grated
  • 6 dash(es)
  • 6 dash(es)
    freshly ground black pepper

How to Make Cuban Bread with Tomatoes


  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Arrange bread on a baking sheet; broil 1 minute on each side or until toasted.
  3. Rub cut sides of garlic clove over one side of each bread slice; drizzle bread evenly with olive oil.
  4. Top each bread slice with 3 slices tomato, 2 teaspoons cheese, a dash of salt, and a dash of freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Broil 1 minute or until bubbly.
