This is an adopted recipe that I can't wait to try! My husband likes granola, and is diabetic. This looked like a good one to make for him. :)

Would be great in a big ol' bowl to munch on as an appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c
    old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 c
    wheat germ (or i like bob's red mill 10 grain hot cereal mix)
  • 1/2 c
    coconut
  • 1/4 c
    sesame seeds
  • 1/4 c
    almonds
  • 1/4 c
    sunflower or millet seeds
  • 1/4 c
    honey
  • 1/4 c
    oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    raisins, reserve

How to Make Crunchy Granola

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all together with electric mixer, spread evenly on 2 baking sheets with edges, and bake in 250 oven until golden brown (45 to 60 minutes).
  2. Turn and stir after 30 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven, add raisins.
  4. Cool and store in plastic bag.
