This is an adopted recipe that I can't wait to try! My husband likes granola, and is diabetic. This looked like a good one to make for him. :) Would be great in a big ol' bowl to munch on as an appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ (or i like bob's red mill 10 grain hot cereal mix)
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower or millet seeds
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins, reserve

How To Make crunchy granola

  • Step 1
    Mix all together with electric mixer, spread evenly on 2 baking sheets with edges, and bake in 250 oven until golden brown (45 to 60 minutes).
  • Step 2
    Turn and stir after 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Remove from oven, add raisins.
  • Step 4
    Cool and store in plastic bag.
