This is my version of a recipe given to me years ago. I noted the brands of the cheese spreads because they are the only brands I have been able to find. THESE FREEZE VERY WELL.

1 large or 3 medium balls

Ingredients

  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced fine
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 jar(s)
    (kraft brand) roka blue cheese spread
  • 1 jar(s)
    (kraft brand) old english cheese spread
  • 1 pkg
    (wispride brand) cheddar cheese spread (comes in a plastic tub)
  • 1 pkg
    (wispride brand) port wine cheese spread
  • 2 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1 c
    pecans or walnuts, chopped fine

How to Make Vicki's Cheese Balls

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring cream cheese and cheese spreads to room temperature.
  2. Mix all cheese well.
  3. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Chill for 1 hour.
  5. Roll in hands to form one large or 2 - 3 smaller balls.
  6. Roll in chopped pecans.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap.
  8. Serve with good crackers.
