Uncle Alan's Mexican Rice

Ingredients

2 lbground beef
-
2bell peppers, diced

1 largesweet onion, diced

1 can(s)(large can) diced tomatoes with juice
-
1 can(s)(large can) tomato juice
-
1/4 cbrown sugar, light
-
2 crice, long grain (not minute rice)
-
2 Tbspchili powder
-
1 Tbspgarlic powder
-
·salt and pepper to taste
How to Make Uncle Alan's Mexican Rice
- In larger pan, brown ground beef, onion, peppers, salt and pepper until no longer pink. Drain. Return to pan.
- Add remaining ingredients (except the rice) to cooked meat mixture, bring to a boil. Add rice.
- Return to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat and simmer until juices are absorbed and rice is tender. (This is where I would add some cheese) Eat:)
