This recipe was given to my mom from my Greek cousin, many years ago.

1/2 lb
feta cheese
4 oz
cream cheese
2 Tbsp
parmesan cheese ,grated
1 box
filo dough (16 oz.)
1/2 c
butter, melted

How to Make Tiropitta (Cheese Triangles)


  • 1Mix the cheeses & eggs well with a mixer.
  • 2Cut one sheet of filo the long way into 2 inch strips. (Keep the rest covered with a damp cloth or towel)
  • 3Mix butter with some oil & brush onto a filo strip.
  • 4Place a teaspoon of the cheese mixture in a corner & fold it over in a triangle, repeating until you reach the end of the strip, like folding a flag. Brush some butter-oil on the top.
  • 5Repeat with each strip until all the cheese is used.
  • 6Place on a cookie sheet.
  • 7Bake in a 350 oven for 15-20 minutes until brown & crispy.
  • 8Makes 60-70 triangles. This is a bit time consuming.
