bread crumbs (plain or seasoned)
vegetable oil, for frying
ranch dressing, for dipping
cajun horseradish sauce, for dipping (optional)
How to Make Texas Roadhouse Rattlesnake Bites
1In a shallow bowl, mix well cheese, jalapenos, bell peppers and 1/2 cup buttermilk. Roll into a firm “golf ball-sized” balls.
2Place bites in covered bowl and let set for 30 to 45 minutes in the freezer.
3Take the balls out of the freezer and dip in buttermilk, then roll around in breadcrumbs. You can do this in advance and place them in the freezer until you are ready to fry them.
4Heat oil in a deep-fryer or deep pan with high sides. Fry Rattlesnake Bites in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
