Ingredients For tex mex dip

  • 3 md
    ripe avocados (or use frozen guacamole dip)
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 c
    sour cream (8 oz)
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 2
    10 1/2 oz cans plain or jalapeno flavored bean dip
  • 1 lg
    bunch green onions, chopped (approx. 1 cup)
  • 3
    tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 pkg
    sharp shredded chedder cheese ( i use medium)
  • large round tortilla chips

How To Make tex mex dip

  • 1
    Combine mashed avocados with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise and taco mix. To assemble: Spread bean dip on a large shallow serving platter. Next, spread avocado mixture over the bean dip; next spread the sour cream mix over the avocado mix. Sprinkle with chopped onions, tomatoes, and olives. Cover with grated cheese. (Optional at this point: Sprinkle with minced garlic and chopped jalapeno peppers) NOTE: Arrange the layers so each layer will be smaller than the preceding one. It will be kind of little borders.
