What party is complete without an amazing cheese dip? This dip is both easy to make and full of flavor. You can control the heat level by increasing or decreasing the amount of sriracha you use. I originally created this recipe for my blog

  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 c
  • 8 oz
    shredded cheese (monterey jack & colby or similar)
  • 2 Tbsp
    sriracha sauce
  • 2

How to Make Sriracha Queso Dip


  1. Heat butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Whisk in flour. Continue to whisk and cook 1 minute.
  2. Slowly stir in milk. Allow to cook 3-4 minutes, just until thickening, stirring occasionally. Remove mixture from heat and stir in cheese. Stir until smooth and then stir in the sriracha.
  3. Serve immediately or pour into a small slow cooker, set to warm to keep until serving. Garnish with chopped scallions and if desired, a few extra drops of sriracha.
