Sandy's Sassy Salmon Cheeseball
2 pkg(8 oz each) philly brand cream cheese, room temp.
1 1/2-2 cgood quality smoked salmon, flaked
3 tspdried chives or fresh
2-3 tspdried parsley or fresh
1/4 cfinely minced (sweet) red onion
2 Lg clovefinely minced garlic
1 tspdried dill weed or fresh
1/2 cupfinely minced canned black olives, drain well
1/2 tspcoarse ground black pepper
1 cwalnuts (finely chopped & toasted)
How to Make Sandy's Sassy Salmon Cheeseball
- place room temp. cream cheese in large bowl,add dill, chives, parsley, black pepper, mix to incorporate spices, add onion, garlic ,olives &salmon , mix well.
- form into ball or log and roll in chopped toasted walnuts or slivered almonds.Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in fridge for 2 hrs.Serve with grilled / toasted baguette or whole grain crackers.
- can substitute chopped green onion for the red onions, also can roll in grated med. cheddar cheese & garnish with lemon slices & fresh dill or green onion or capers. Enjoy
