Ingredients
- 5 ounces chorizo
- 1 medium red onion chopped
- 1 small serrano pepper seeded and chopped
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups chihuahua cheese shredded
- 1 cup pico de gallo
- warm tortillas or chipas for serving
How To Make queso fundido

Step 1Brown the choizo in a cast iron pan or any skillet that is oven proof. Remove to a plate and add a little oil if needed and add the onion and serrano and cook until softened. Season with salt.

Step 2Add the choizo back to the cast iron pan. Top with cheese and place in a preheated 400 degree oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 3Remove from oven and top with pico de gallo. Serve with warm tortillas or chips
