olive cheddar puffs
(1 RATING)
As a little boy, these were a favorite of my Uncle Ben...not only to eat, but because he loved to help make them! It's so easy and hands on, grab the kiddos and let them help.

Ingredients
- 2 cups extra sharp cheddar, shredded
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 48 - small stuffed olives (you can use pimiento, garlic, or blue cheese stuffed...suit your taste!)
How To Make olive cheddar puffs
-
Step 1Blend cheese and butter. Stir in flour, salt, and paprika. (Don't be afraid to blend with your hands. That works best!)
-
Step 2Wrap 1 tsp. dough around each olive, sealing all edges to make a ball.
-
Step 3Bake at 400F for 15 minutes on greased cookie sheet. Remove from pan, let cool on rack 2-3 minutes, then serve immediately.
-
Step 4VARIATION: you may use pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar, along with jarred jalapeno slices instead of olives for a spicy, fun alternative!
