As a little boy, these were a favorite of my Uncle Ben...not only to eat, but because he loved to help make them! It's so easy and hands on, grab the kiddos and let them help.

  • 2 c
    sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 48
    small stuffed olives

How to Make Olive Cheddar Puffs

Step-by-Step

  1. Blend cheese and butter. Stir in flour, salt, and paprika. (Don't be afraid to blend with your hands. That works best!)
  2. Wrap 1 tsp. dough around each olive, sealing all edges to make a ball.
  3. Bake at 400F for 15 minutes on greased cookie sheet. Remove from pan, let cool on rack 2-3 minutes, then serve immediately.
  4. VARIATION: you may use pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar, along with jarred jalapeno slices instead of olives for a spicy, fun alternative!
