This is my version of queso found at a popular mexican restaurant here in Houston... and by now you know how much I LOVE MY CHEESE!!! lol

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    american cheese, not velveeta
  • 4 oz
    green chiles
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c
    onion, diced
  • 1/3 c
    whole milk
  • 1/2 c
    diced ripe tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt

How to Make My Version of Pappasito's Queso

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt cheese with milk in a double boiler until blended. Add chiles WITH LIQUID, garlic, onion and garlic salt and stir unil blended. Remove from heat and stir in tomatoes before serving.
  2. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips!
