This is my version of queso found at a popular mexican restaurant here in Houston... and by now you know how much I LOVE MY CHEESE!!! lol

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds american cheese, not velveeta
  • 4 ounces green chiles
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup diced ripe tomatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

How To Make my version of pappasito's queso

  • Step 1
    Melt cheese with milk in a double boiler until blended. Add chiles WITH LIQUID, garlic, onion and garlic salt and stir unil blended. Remove from heat and stir in tomatoes before serving.
  • Step 2
    Serve with your favorite tortilla chips!
