This is my version of queso found at a popular mexican restaurant here in Houston... and by now you know how much I LOVE MY CHEESE!!! lol

1 1/2 lb
american cheese, not velveeta
4 oz
green chiles
1 Tbsp
garlic, minced
1/2 c
onion, diced
1/3 c
whole milk
1/2 c
diced ripe tomatoes
1/4 tsp
garlic salt

How to Make My Version of Pappasito's Queso


  • 1Melt cheese with milk in a double boiler until blended. Add chiles WITH LIQUID, garlic, onion and garlic salt and stir unil blended. Remove from heat and stir in tomatoes before serving.
  • 2Serve with your favorite tortilla chips!
