When I was in the pageants, there were parties for everything. My Director lives in a multi million dollar estate but down to earth. She and my Assistant Director made (with some outside help) a zillion appetizers. One was this Mini Ham and Cheese rolls. They were yummy. Wrap in foil and re warm in oven on a very low temperature. These would be great to serve at the Super bowl Party. No one will complain.

Ingredients

  • 24 - browned, dinner rolls
  • 2 tablespoons dried, minced oion
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 pound very thin chopped ham slices, small slices
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced swiss cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground dill, optional
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground parsley flakes, optional

How To Make mini ham and cheese rolls

  • Step 1
    Pre heat oven to 325 degrees F
  • Step 2
    In a small mixing bowl, combine onion flakes,mustard, poppy seed, parsley and dill with melted butter.
  • Step 3
    Split each dinner roll. brush one side with the butter mixture and place a piece of ham and swiss cheese, replace top like a sandwich. Do all 24 and place them on a cookie sheet. Drizzle rest of butter mixture across top of rolls.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Serve warm.
