Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups monterey jack-colby cheese blend, shredded
  • 1 package 3 oz, cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup salsa, chunky
  • 1 can 4 oz, chopped green chilies
  • - dash hot pepper sauce
  • - chips for serving

How To Make mexican cheese dip

  • Step 1
    In 1 1/2 quart round microwavable casserole dish, combine onion and butter. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until onion is tender.
  • Step 2
    Stir in cornstarch and milk. Microwave at high for 2-3 minutes or until thickened, stirring once.
  • Step 3
    Add shredded cheese, cream cheese, salsa, chilies, and hot pepper sauce. Microwave on high for 2-4 minutes, or until cheeses are melted, stirring once to blend thoroughly. Serve with taco chips.
