How to Make Jo's cheese,mushroom and onion appetizer
- slice bread diagonally 1/4 inch , toast lightly, cool. Take cheese out of frig to reach room temperature.
- put equal amounts of olive oil and butter in pan, melt and sauté thinly sliced onions. After they become translucent and sprinkle a little sugar in and add sliced mushrooms of your choice. ( I used white button )ONLY cook till onions are light brown and mushrooms are soft. cool but at room temperature
- spread some cheese on slices of baguette then top with mushroom and onion mixture.Can serve at room temperature or warm a little in oven.
