jalapeno cheese sauce
Great cheese sauce for nachos, dipping, or horseshoes. Very forward jalapeno flavor and a subtle spice level that demands another bite. I double this recipe, then make and serve it in a 2-quart Crock Pot.

Ingredients
- 1 pound deli white American cheese
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 ounces canned diced jalapenos
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make jalapeno cheese sauce
-
Step 1Mix the ingredients in a 2-quart Crock Pot, then cube or tear up cheese slices and mix well.
-
Step 2Put Crock Pot on high, stirring every 1/2 hour to mix well and check on how the cheese is melting.
-
Step 3When the sauce is smooth, switch the setting to warm or low to serve. If you wish it to be thinner, add 1/4 cup of milk and stir it in. When cold, this recipe will have the viscosity of peanut butter, but it will thin out with warming.
