Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
This is a simple and cute Halloween cheese ball. I have had similar cheese balls but they're coated with crushed cheese tortilla chips. Coating with finely shredded cheese is a much tastier method. It prevents the cheese ball to get soggy. The only problem with this recipe is it's so cute I didn't want to eat it!

Note: Crackers are great, but it's great with celery too.


2 pkg
cream cheese, 8 oz each
2 c
grated cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp
Worcestershire sauce
1 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
black olive and leafy part of celery stalk for garnish


1Let grated cheddar sit out to room temp till soft. Blend well-softened cream cheese and cheddar cheese; mix in Worcestershire sauce.
2Form ball and roll in shredded cheddar cheese.
3Form eyes, nose, and mouth with sliced olives.
4Stick leaf from celery stalk on top for "stem." Refrigerate 10 minutes then serve with crackers.
