11 1/2 lb. round sourdough bread
1/2 cfinely chopped celery
1/2 cchopped red pepper
1/2 cfinely chopped onion
1 lbvelveeta cheese, cubed
1 pkg10 oz. frozen chopped broccoli (thawed and drained)
1/4 tspdried rosemary (or thyme)
How to Make Hot Broccoli Dip
- Cut slit from top of bread, remove center leaving 1 inch shell. Cut removed bread into bite size pieces. Cover shell with top. Place on cookie sheet with bread pieces. Bake 350, 15 minutes.
- In skillet, saute celery, peppers and onions in margarine.
Reduce heat to low and add cheese. Stir until melted, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until heated through. Spoon into bread loaf.
- Serve hot with toasted bread pieces,crackers or vegetables.
Note: Cheese mixture can be prepared early in the day and
microwaved just prior to serving in the bread.
