hot broccoli dip

My boss' wife gave me this recipe many years ago and we really enjoy it and it looks like you spent a lot of time and effort to make the dip.

Ingredients
- 1 - 1 1/2 lb. round sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped red pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 pound velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 package 10 oz. frozen chopped broccoli (thawed and drained)
- 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary (or thyme)
How To Make hot broccoli dip

Step 1Cut slit from top of bread, remove center leaving 1 inch shell. Cut removed bread into bite size pieces. Cover shell with top. Place on cookie sheet with bread pieces. Bake 350, 15 minutes.

Step 2In skillet, saute celery, peppers and onions in margarine. Reduce heat to low and add cheese. Stir until melted, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until heated through. Spoon into bread loaf.

Step 3Serve hot with toasted bread pieces,crackers or vegetables. Note: Cheese mixture can be prepared early in the day and microwaved just prior to serving in the bread.
