This is so tasty on crackers,or fresh raw veggies, it is addictive! You will get requests for this spread, and it is so easy to make. My sister-in-law gave this to me, and I don't know where she got the recipe,but it is savory and timeless.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages 8 oz. size cream cheese, regular not whipped
  • 1 small container of "whipped cream cheese"
  • 1 - 8 oz. container "whipped butter"
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon chives, dried

  • Step 1
    Let cream cheese and butter rest at room temperature for about fifteen minutes,then combine in a bowl.
  • Step 2
    Add herbs, and blend together until just mixed. Cover bowl and chill for about an hour before serving. Flavors are better after chilling.
  • Step 3
    This is excellent for serving with crackers, toast, or crudit'es, i.e. asparagus,broccoli,celery, green beans, scallions,snow peas or zucchini.
