five cheese hors d'ouveres
I came across a box of old recipes. I got this recipe years ago at a ladies Bible study party. It was so good I had to get the recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 packages refrigerated crescent rolls
- 8 ounces each monterey jack, muenster, cheddar & swiss slices
- 8 ounces cream cheese, sliced
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds or poppy seeds
How To Make five cheese hors d'ouveres
-
Step 1Note: I made 1/2 a batch on a sheet of parchment paper on top of a cookie sheet. Next time I will line a bread pan with parchment paper, so the dough goes to the sides of the pan. Making a whole batch in a 9x13 will work out just fine. You just kind of need the pan sides the help keep in the cheese.
-
Step 2Unroll 1 package of crescent rolls on a 9x13 pan. Pinch the seams together.
-
Step 3Layer the cheeses. Slice the cream cheese and spread over the top. Pour the egg over the cheeses.
-
Step 4Top with the other crescent roll, pinching the seams together.
-
Step 5Brush with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeps. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until golden. Let it set up for a little bit, then cut and serve. We had it about room temperature.
