When I lived in North Carolina everyone made these with sliced ham and small party rolls. I used pepperoni,ham and chicken with a cheese roll.You may use whatever meat filling you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter,softened
  • 3 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1 - onion,grated
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons prepared dijon style mustard
  • 2-12 ounces packages white party rolls
  • 1/2 pound chopped cooked ham,chicken & pepperoni
  • 5 ounces swiss cheese

How To Make easy sandwich appetizer

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Step 2
    In a food processor, mix together butter, poppy seeds, onion, Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard
  • Step 3
    Slice rolls in half horizontally and set aside tops. Spread bottoms with the butter mixture. Top with meat mixtue and Swiss cheese. Replace tops.
  • Step 4
    Arrange rolls in a single layer in a medium baking pan.Bake in the preheated oven 10-12 minutes until rolls are lightly browned and cheese is melted.
