8 ozgreyere cheese, thin slice

8 slicesmoked slice ham
How to Make CROQUES MONSIEUR
- PREHEAT THE BROILER. BUTTER THE BREAD ON BOTH SIDES. TOP 4 SLICES OF BREAD WITH 8 THIN SLICES, OF GREYERE, FOLLOWED BY ALL 8 SLICES OF HAM. FINISH WITH THE REMAINING 4 BREAD SLICES ON TOP OF CHEESE.
- PUT THE CROQUES MONSIEUR ONTO A BAKING SHEET, AND UNDER THE BROILER FOR 5 TO 8 MINUTES. FLIP THE BREAD OVER AND BROWN THE OTHER SIDE. REMOVE FROM THE BROILER AND IMMEDIATELY TRIM OFF THE CRUST. CUT EACH SANDWICH INTO EIGHT PIECES.
- IF YOU PLAN TO MAKE AHEAD THEY CAN BE LAID BETWEEN PARCHMENT PAPER AND REFRIGERATE.
