My boyfriend loves The Irish Rover restaurant in Louisville. These fritters are always his go-to. While these aren't as good as the Rover's, these seem to satisfy the cravings.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

1 c
bisquick mix
1 large
egg
1/2 c
milk
2 1/2 c
shredded swiss cheese
1 c
finely diced ham (from a salad bar at a supermarket)
salt & pepper
vegetable oil, for frying
2
green onions, optional, for garnish
1/2 c
your favorite swiss cheese sauce

How to Make Cordon Bleu Fritters

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a small bowl, combine Bisquick mix, egg, and milk. Whisk until combined. Season with salt and pepper. Fold in Swiss cheese and ham.
  • 2In an electric skillet, heat 1-1/2 in. of oil to 375°. Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls, a few at a time, into hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 1 minute on each side. Drain on paper towels. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired. Serve warm with warm cheese sauce, if desired.
