Chutney Cheese Ball DUPLICATE

We made this a lot in Scotland, and it is very good! I prefer it with wheat crackers personally...

serves 6-8
method No-Cook or Other


  • 6 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry sherry
  • 1/2 tsp
    curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp
  • dash(es)
    hot red pepper sauce
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped mango chutney or other fruit chutney
  • 3-4
    minced green onions and tops
  • crisp sesame or wheat crackers
  • 1/4 lb
    shredded cheddar (1 cup)

How To Make

    Combine cream cheese, cheddar, sherry, curry, salt and hot pepper sauce with electric mixer. Beat until almost smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste. Spread into a 1/2 inch thick disc on serving platter. Chill to firm. At serving time, spread chutney over top of mixture. Sprinkle with onions, serve with crackers.
