This is one of my very favorite appetizers, after living in Scotland. Chutney topped with some curry in the cheese...you will love it too!

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1/4 pound shredded cheddar cheese (or 1 cup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash hot red pepper sauce
  • 1/2 cup mango chutney, finely chopped
  • 4 - green onions and tops, minced
  • - wheat crackers

How To Make chutney cheese ball

  • Step 1
    Combine cream cheese, cheddar, sherry, curry, salt and hot pepper sauce with electric mixer. beat until almost smooth. adjust seasoning to taste. spread in 1/2 inch thick disc on serving platter. chill to firm. at serving time spread chutney over the top of the mixture and sprinkle with onions. serve with crackers.
