This is one of my very favorite appetizers, after living in Scotland. Chutney topped with some curry in the will love it too!

No-Cook or Other


  • 6 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry sherry
  • 1/4 lb
    shredded cheddar cheese (or 1 cup)
  • 1/2 tsp
    curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp
  • dash(es)
    hot red pepper sauce
  • 1/2 c
    mango chutney, finely chopped
  • 4
    green onions and tops, minced
  • ·
    wheat crackers

How to Make Chutney Cheese Ball


  1. Combine cream cheese, cheddar, sherry, curry, salt and hot pepper sauce with electric mixer. beat until almost smooth. adjust seasoning to taste. spread in 1/2 inch thick disc on serving platter. chill to firm. at serving time spread chutney over the top of the mixture and sprinkle with onions. serve with crackers.
