cheesy pepperoni pizza sticks
(1 RATING)
I saw this on Facebook and thought it sounded like a perfect appetizer for snacking on while watching a football game. It's just a step above the baked cheese sticks we usually order at our favorite sports bar. I changed the herbs so it incorporated more of our favorite Italian herbs. But the recipe can easily be adjusted further, to include basil or just about any other Italian seasoning as well.

Ingredients
- 1 (13.8oz) tube refrigerated pizza crust dough
- 40 - pepperoni slices
- 10 - mozzarella cheese sticks
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 cup - marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)
How To Make cheesy pepperoni pizza sticks
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 450°F.
-
Step 2Roll pizza dough on a lightly greased baking sheet to form a large rectangle. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough (width-wise) down the center. Then cut both halves into 5 rows each, so you have 10 equal size dough rectangles.
-
Step 3Arrange 4 pepperoni slices on each rectangle, then place a cheese stick on top of the pepperoni slices. Roll the dough around the cheese stick, and pinch the edges to seal the pepperoni and cheese inside.
-
Step 4In a saucepan, melt the butter. Stir the garlic powder and parsley into the butter. Brush the dough with the garlic butter.
-
Step 5Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until the dough is a light golden brown. Serve as is, or you can serve them with marinara sauce for dipping.
