Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried thyme, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped pecans
  • ·
    nonstick cooking spray

How to Make Cheesy Pecan Crackers

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring cheese and butter to room temperature. Beat the cheese and butter together with a mixer until combined. Add the thyme and red pepper and beat again until combined.
  2. Stir in the flour and pecans and mix by hand until combined. Form into a ball.
  3. Shape into an 8 inch long log and wrap in cling wrap. Refrigerate and chill for approx. 4 hours or until the mixture is nice and firm.
  4. Using a sharp knife, cut dough into 1/8 inch thick slices. Place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray or place slices on parchment paper.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
