Ingredients

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • - nonstick cooking spray

How To Make cheesy pecan crackers

  • Step 1
    Bring cheese and butter to room temperature. Beat the cheese and butter together with a mixer until combined. Add the thyme and red pepper and beat again until combined.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the flour and pecans and mix by hand until combined. Form into a ball.
  • Step 3
    Shape into an 8 inch long log and wrap in cling wrap. Refrigerate and chill for approx. 4 hours or until the mixture is nice and firm.
  • Step 4
    Using a sharp knife, cut dough into 1/8 inch thick slices. Place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray or place slices on parchment paper.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
