My aunt served this and it was a request everywhere!! You can make it well ahead of your gathering, wrap in plastic and let it age a few days. It can look very pretty when served and will make a holiday favorite they will look for on your table.

Ingredients
- 2 8 oz packages cream cheese softened
- 2 tablespoons cooking sherry
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup ham, smoked and deli-sliced or beef wafer thin chopped
How To Make cheeseball

Step 1Combine all ingredients omitting the beef. Roll mixture into a ball and then roll cheese ball in the chopped beef. Wrap the ball in plastic wrap and chill.

Step 2Variations to roll the cheese ball in: nuts, diced black olives, fine chopped parsley, any favorite deli meat, shredded cheese. A thin sliced rough chopped provolone looks rustic with fresh made crackers.

Step 3Chill cheese ball overnight to blend flavors. Serve on a lettuce leaf with crackers, celery , lettuce leaf

Step 4This cheese ball can adapt to a light version with low fat cheeses. Roll the ball in dried herbs and save calories and still look and taste great.
