butter softened (4 sticks)
4 c
sharp cheddar cheese shredded
4 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
fine sea salt
1 1/2 tsp
cayenne pepper
1 tsp

How to Make Cheese Wafers


  • 1Cream butter and cheese in large bowl.
  • 2Sift flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Add to butter mixture slowly until completely blended. I use my stand mixer for this.
  • 3Cover and refridgerate for 3 hours.
  • 4Shape dough into logs wrap in wax paper and refridgerate until ready to cook.
  • 5Slice into 1/4 inch slices and put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
