Ingredients
- 1/4 cup goat cheese at room temperature (2 oz.)
- 1/4 cup mascarpone cheese at room temperature (2 oz.)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped basil leaves--use fresh basil
- - kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 12 ounces (about 16 total) medjool dates, pitted
- 8 slices thin slices of proscuitto, halved lengthwise
How To Make cheese stuffed dates with prosciutto

Step 1In a small bowl, mix together the cheeses and basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2Gently pull the dates apart and stuff each with 1/2 teaspoon of the cheese mixture. Close the dates around the filling.

Step 3Wrap a piece of proscuitto around each stuffed date and secure with a toothpick. Arrange the stuffed dates on a platter and serve.
