Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup goat cheese at room temperature (2 oz.)
  • 1/4 cup mascarpone cheese at room temperature (2 oz.)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped basil leaves--use fresh basil
  • - kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 12 ounces (about 16 total) medjool dates, pitted
  • 8 slices thin slices of proscuitto, halved lengthwise

How To Make cheese stuffed dates with prosciutto

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl, mix together the cheeses and basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 2
    Gently pull the dates apart and stuff each with 1/2 teaspoon of the cheese mixture. Close the dates around the filling.
  • Step 3
    Wrap a piece of proscuitto around each stuffed date and secure with a toothpick. Arrange the stuffed dates on a platter and serve.
