How to Make Cheese Straw Cookies
- Grate the cold block of cheddar cheese and the cold sticks of butter into the same large bowl. Let this come to room temperature to soften.
NOTE: I have also used pre-shredded cheese, put it in a bowl along with the butter and let it come to room temperature. Once it has softened I start mixing in the remaining ingredients. This works just as well.
