Blue Ribbon Recipe

I really liked this simple cheese log recipe. It has a lot of flavor from the garlic and onion. The crushed red pepper really gives this zing... not too spicy, but just enough to keep you coming back for more. This is easy to throw together and would be great for a casual gathering like a football game but just as lovely served at a holiday party.

Ingredients For cheese log

  • 6 oz
    shredded Colby-jack cheese
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    granulated garlic

How To Make cheese log

  • 1
    Shred Colby-jack cheese.
  • 2
    Add cream cheese and seasonings to a bowl.

    Mix cream cheese by hand.
  • 4
    Add Colby-jack cheese and, by hand, mix well.

    Form into a log. Wrap cheese in Saran Wrap and place in refrigerator.

    Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. *The flavors intensify overnight~~got a little KICK to it!
