Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons diced onion
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pimiento, finely chopped
- - sprinkle cayenne
- - paprika
- 8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
How To Make cheese bites

Step 1Mix first 6 ingredients until well mixed in a medium bowl.

Step 2Flatten bread with a rolling pin.

Step 3Spread each bread slice with about 1 tablespoon cheese mixture.

Step 4Roll up jelly-roll style.

Step 5Sprinkle each roll with paprika.

Step 6Place rolls in an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes until toasted.

Step 7Cut each roll into 4 pieces.

Step 8Make Ahead: Freeze unbaked rolls on baking sheet until firm. Transfer frozen rolls to resealable freezer bag. Just before serving, thaw and bake as directed. To bake from frozen state, add an additional 2 minutes to baking time.
