I love cheese and the more cheese the better. These cheese balls are loaded with some amazing cheese and the horseradish makes them pop. They also freeze very well.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddear cheese (i use the fancy shredded cheese)
  • 2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese (fancy type)
  • 4 ounces crumbled blue cheese
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons prepared horseradish (i use our homegrown)
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/3 cup chopped pine nuts or any other type of nut you like

How To Make cheese balls

  • Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the cheeses, horseradish, worcestershire sauce, onion and garlic powder. Shape into two balls. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Toast your nuts, cool.
  • Step 3
Combine the nuts, if you did not toast them together; press the nuts into your two cheese balls. I usually put the nuts in a large bowl and then I roll the cheese ball around pressing to make sure it is completely covered.
  • Step 4
If you freeze a cheese ball for later, remove it from the freezer one hour before serving.
